The whacky waiving, inflatable arm, flailing tube year of 2020 gave us much to forget. The same year that gave us some of the most anticipated games of the generation was also the final year of said generation. Leave it to 2020 to be the year to end an entire generation. 2021 kicks off an entirely new generation of gaming, and an entirely new anticipation for upcoming games.
2020 gave us such titles as, The Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Warzone, and more. These 3 alone were some of the best games we have seen in some time. 2021; however, has a number of great games in store as well.
Most anticipated game launching first? That Title goes to:

Hitman 3 will be one of the first highly anticipated games to release in 2021. It is set for release January 20, 2021. Hitman 2 was a very successful release back in 2018 for fans of the game. Hitman 3 will be the entry title for so many new gamers as it launches so quickly into a new generation.
Some other highly anticipated games do not have solid release dates. Hype, anticipation, and hope make us assume they will be ready for a 2021 release. Many games pushed all the way past previous years with an expected “that year” release. Only to not quite make that years cut. The new generation gives us another hope that these titles will make their appearance this year. Finally. Such games as:
Dying Light 2 – I would love to get my hands on Dying Light 2. Gamers have been on the wish list for this game going on years now. Will we see this game hit the market in 2021? It was set to release for last gen consoles, but has been anticipated past the last generation. Will this fact change how it releases? Will it fade away like the forgotten titles from PS3 / XBOX360? I would like to play this one.

This will be the third year of coming soon for Dying Light 2.
Another upcoming game with no solid release date is, New World.

New World was supposed to be the next generation of open-world gaming to land on the next generation of gaming stations. Hype has slowed slightly since the game’s announcement. It is currently available for pre-purchase on Steam for $39.99 or $49.99 for the deluxe edition. Console gamers have asked for details of this game, but the MMORPG appears it will only release for Windows PC.
Console gamers will never see the New World; however, they will hopefully get to experience some other exciting titles in 2021. There are several games to be hyped for among console gamers. Here is a quick look:
- Psychonauts 2
- Battlefield 2021
- It Takes Two
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Horizon: Forbidden West
- Chernobylite
- The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
Several games are on our radar for 2021. We will continue to churn out articles about these anticipated games. The more hype, the more we anticipate. Let us know what you’re excited for on Facebook.
