Ark: Survival Evolved Genesis RogueCorps First Look Preparation Review

RogueCorp Online plays a variety of MMO’s. One of which is Ark: Survival Evolved. The game has lost a considerable audience since its release in 2015. With every expansion, DLC, and update, former active players return, and new players are born. Some level of hype has surrounded everything added by Studio WildCard to Ark: Survival Evolved. That is definitely the case with the latest DLC: Genesis.

Genesis is set to put butts back in seats and eyes back on new creatures. We have not yet seen Genesis yet; however, we have quite a sum of knowledge given to us by Studio Wildcard. What does it supposedly offer? Let’s take a look.

  • New Environments & Biomes
  • New Creatures
  • New Weapons, Tools, & Armor
  • New Structures
  • New Costumes

The most anticipated of these being the biomes and creatures. Studio Wildcard mentions a volcano, snow mountain, water biome, and others. We have seen some level of those already. The biome that needs the spotlight in this article though, is the Lunar Biome. We were teased in, ARK: Genesis Lunar Biome Environment Teaser:

The biome and surrounding creatures looks absolutely amazing. As someone who was extremely active in Ark, at one time, I am very excited to see that biome hit my television. A short 37 second video is enough to have my attention on this matter.

New creatures.

New locations mean new creatures. I am a big fan of the map Ragnarok. Ragnarok came to us as a DLC, but has since been added to the base game as I understand it. When it first came to us, Leedsichthys (aka Leeds), were the death of me. They were absolutely everywhere in the ocean, and if I even thought about a raft -they were killing it. Killing even my dreams of owning an mobile ocean base. The dream remained; however, hidden. Leeds were eventually removed from Ragnarok. Ark Genesis adds several creatures to the game. Many of which can get you excited about trying out or coming back to Ark: Survival Evolved. The one that has our spotlight though:

Giant Tortoise

What more can one picture say? With Ark: Genesis, rafts have nothing on a base on a Giant Tortoise’s back. Oh and, by the way, it is fully mobile AND submersible. It provides a bubble for the player and his/her belongings complete with oxygen. Well played WildCard.

Not sold? If these 2 big add-ins don’t surface your turtle then nothing will. But, some other key creatures and items you may want to look at are:

Creatures

  • Astrocetus
  • Blade Wasp
  • Bloodstalker
  • Ferox
  • Magmasaur
  • Moeder

Items

  • Fishing Net
  • Mining Drill
  • Metal & Wood Ocean Platform
  • Pressure Plate

Tek

  • Tek Claws
  • Tek Cruise Launcher
  • Tek Grenade Launcher
  • Tek Remote Guided Missile
  • Tek Shoulder Cannon
  • Tek Alarm System
  • Tek Jet
  • Tek Jump Pod

So, as you can see, there is plenty to get excited about in Ark: Survival Evolved’s DLC Genesis. I shared with you what I am most excited for, and listed some other things that you might find fascinating as well. Hope you guys enjoyed the read and as always, join the community on Facebook or Discord.
